Pierre Guigon

Pierre Guigon is a Carbon Finance Specialist at the World Bank and a member to the Secretariat of the Partnership for Market Readiness (PMR). The PMR is a global US$130 million trust fund which provides grant funding and technical assistance to 18 of the largest emerging economies to build domestic policy, regulatory and institutional readiness for GHG mitigation and pilot innovative carbon pricing instruments.
Before Joining the World Bank, Pierre served as a Business Development Manager with exchange Group NYSE Euronext (Bluenext) where he was charged with new product development and regulatory affairs for environmental commodities. He also worked as an Analyst with the Climate Task Force of the French State-owned Bank Caisse des Depots (CDC).
Pierre co-authored the World Bank’s State and Trends of the Carbon Market 2012 and published several other articles on climate policies. Pierre holds a Master of Agronomic Engineering from AgroParisTech and a Master in Economics from the Paris Institute of Technology.
