NACW2014

About

Navigating the American Carbon World (NACW) is the longest running and most anticipated conference for discussing climate policy and carbon markets. It has a well-established history of providing the most comprehensive and recent information on the year’s most pressing topics. And because it is the largest carbon event, it is known as the best event for networking with colleagues from the business, government, nonprofit and academic sectors.

At NACW 2013, there was palpable excitement in the air as attendees discussed climate policy, engaged in carbon market development and made new connections. NACW 2014 will carry on that enthusiasm as the event explores the advancement of climate solutions – like the future growth and expansion of California’s historic cap-and-trade program. The conference will also focus on other established and emerging carbon markets around the world, the status of potential linkages between markets, national climate change policy and other innovative environmental initiatives.

Environmental leaders who helped shape discussions at past conferences include Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor Gray Davis, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres, U.S. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley, California Air Resources Board Chairman Mary Nichols, National Wildlife Federation President & CEO Larry Schweiger, Marvin Odum of Shell Oil, and Dr. Stephen Schneider of Stanford University.

2014 marks the twelfth consecutive year that NACW has provided a venue for gathering the most innovative and forward-thinking professionals engaged in climate change. NACW 2014 takes place March 26-28 in San Francisco and is hosted by the Climate Action Reserve, the most experienced, trusted and efficient offset project registry to serve the carbon market. We hope to see you in San Francisco!
