Brewster Birdsall is a Senior Associate at Aspen Environmental Group, a California-based consulting firm specializing in environmental impact assessment of complex and controversial projects. His background includes over 18 years in the related fields of air quality, permitting, resource planning, and energy supply alternatives. Brewster analyzes GHG emissions from transportation, utilities, and urban communities, with particular focus on the siting of energy infrastructure. He has developed innovative mitigation approaches for agencies that are addressing GHG emissions from energy production, transmission, and usage. He also provides expert testimony to California’s energy agencies.

Brewster is a California-licensed professional engineer and is certified as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. He holds an MS in civil engineering from Colorado State University and a BS in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University.
