Derek Six is CEO of Environmental Credit Corp., an offset project management and development firm headquartered in State College, PA. Derek joined ECC in 2006, and has since transacted more than 2.5 million compliance and voluntary offsets. ECC has an extensive portfolio of Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) Destruction projects, Agricultural Methane Destruction projects, and Organic Waste Composting projects.

In particular, Derek directs ECC’s ODS Destruction project efforts. He was a participant in the Climate Action Reserve’s ODS protocol development workgroup, and holds EPA Section 608 and 609 Technician Certifications. Derek currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Compliance Offset Developer’s Association (CODA), and was a Co-Founder and Treasurer of the Carbon Offset Provider’s Coalition. He is a former instructor for the Pennsylvania State University’s Energy and Sustainability Policy degree program, and has worked on several research studies involving climate change policy; cap and trade design; and the roles of voluntary and compliance offsets. Derek received an MBA in Investment Management and Portfolio Analysis from Penn State’s Smeal Business School.
